I accomplished my goal of improving upon last year's 11th place finish at the NPC USAs and cracking the top 10.

I was happy with my improved condition--and I really needed it to fare as well as I did. The heavyweight class was the largest at the show this year with 35 competitors and they were much better than last year.

I weighed- in at 217 pounds at this year's USA. At last year's show, I weighed in four pounds heavier and not as tight at 221 pounds. The good thing is that I'm all set to create my best physique ever at the Team Universe in less than two weeks. Last year, I shaved off five pounds in this same two-week time period on the way to my second overall win at the event.

All my mental and physical energy has been directed forward to the Team Universe since last Friday night.
